In partnership with AΦE (http://www.aoiesteban.com), The Laser Unicorns are offering a small number of artists the opportunity to take part in a one-day scratch residency at Watermans in London on Friday 11 November 2016. This residency will provide a space for developing ideas, engaging in dialogue and nurturing practices relating to digital performance.

You will be guided by AΦE, a dance company founded in 2013 by Esteban Fourmi and Aoi Nakamura, along with members of the Laser Unicorns in an exploration into digital performance making over the course of the day. The main aim will be to share, discuss, experiment, and develop work and ideas relating to your practice, whilst being immersed in a supportive environment with like-minded individuals.

You will also be given an opportunity to share your findings with the Laser Unicorns as part of a digital arts symposium, which will be running at Watermans on Saturday 12th.

The Laser Unicorns are a collective of artists, practitioners, technologists, academics, and all those in-between, with the desire to cultivate connections and to nurture creative cooperation across all things performance and technology related. This residency aims to extend the collective by connecting with fellow artists in the field whom would be interested in sharing their ideas (current Laser Unicorn members include: Mark Coniglio, Ruth Gibson, Bruno Martelli, Jo Scott, Sarah Whatley, Maria Chatzichristodoulou, Sita Popat, Sophy Smith, Kerry Francksen).
