This is really interesting. Treehouse is a serialised story available via the iPhone, told through a very clever, user-friendly and intuitive interface that allows you quickly access individual chapters in an approach the creators have dubbed “Appisodic”(™). The story is engaging, with a great mix of text and visuals, and I particularly appreciated the tooltips that quickly and unobtrusively show you how to navigate when you start – a big plus with any new format like this, even when the navigation is as intuitive as it is here. Also exciting (from my point of view at least) is that Appisodes 2-4 are available to purchase, making this an extremely promising model for elit authors looking to make a living from what they do (or at least, try to cover their costs of production).
