Wand 5, an association promoting independent film and media culture, invites artists to present their work at the 28th Stuttgarter Filmwinter.

Welcome to the New Age

Which expression does the digital age find in contemporary film and media art? What effect does the digital revolution have on our life and our artistic practice? How does it influence us? Is the future still what it used to be?

The 21st century is like a maze where we follow the current and try like the greek goddess Hecate to look in three directions at the same time. With the help of this tripartite perspective we try to look at the past, presence and future.

Let us break through the fog and oracle with an winking eye what the new age does for us. In this spirit we welcome the future and greet: Welcome to the New Age!

TEAM-WORK-AWARD:
Award of the jury of 2,000 euros for film and video realized by a team, donated by RITTER SPORT.

NORMAN 2015:
Award of the jury for film and video of 4,000 euros donated by the State Capital Stuttgart.

2 MINUTES SHORT FILM AWARD:
Award of the jury for emerging artists till the age of 30 years of 1,000 euros for a work up to two minutes.

AWARD FOR MEDIA IN SPACE:
Award of the jury of 750 euros for Media in Space (installations).

NETWORK CULTURE:
Award of 750 euros for a work in the field of net activities, net art, public and virtual interventions.
