Apps for Europe Competition: enter your open data based app and win €5,000 – deadline 31 December 2014

Have you developed an open data based app? Apps for Europe is searching for the best new apps to help scale into viable businesses. We invite all developers, startups and companies that use open data to take part in our competition and win a place at the International Business Lounge, to be held at the FutureEverything Festival in February 2015. One overall winner will also receive a prize fund of €5,000.

The winners will get the chance to present their work at the Festival and pitch to an international audience of investors, government agencies and companies keen to share their skills, experience, resources and money to help scale the winning ideas into a successful businesses.

There are 13 places available. All travel, accommodation and Festival passes are included for one person per team.

The 2014 winner, BikeCityGuide has shown the potential of using open data to enhance their company and expand their services. Since the international Business Lounge at FutureEverything in March 2014, they have expanded into new cities and raised almost €140,000 in crowdfunding.

Who is judging the competition?
All online entries will be judged by the Apps for Europe consortium: an experienced network of European companies with links to investors and expertise in bringing promising ideas to scale. Find out more here.
