During the first year from its opening, Bath Spa University (BSU) has filled MediaWall with a number of artworks including works by international artists Julian Opie and Bruce Munro and also the text-based OAK, a response to the Letter to the Unknown Soldier project.

For the month of July 2015, we are supporting the creation of a new artwork by an artist of international standing, launched as part of the MIX DIGITAL 3: Writing Digital conference which will take place 2-4 July 2015. Hosted by BSU’s School of Humanities and Cultural Industries, MIX has established itself as an innovative forum for the discussion and exploration of writing and technology, attracting an international cohort of contributors from the UK, Australia, and Europe as well as North and South America.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to create an interactive literary artwork on a 30 screen media wall that can be shown at very high resolution in daylight.
