Applications are invited for a full-time post in Writing in the School of Creative Studies and Media. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, thriving and ambitious School with an enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and teaching, and a strategy of building on its strengths in digital media and professional writing.
Applicants will have a publishing record appropriate to their career stage, supported by a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent scholarly/publishing experience, and will be expected to contribute to the growth of a strong writing team across the College of Arts, Education and Humanities, which includes provision both in Welsh and English. There will also be opportunities to engage with initiatives linked to the new Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre at Bangor, which will be opening in 2013, and to work with other practitioners across the creative and performing arts.
The ideal candidate will have a pedagogical interest in writing for digital and creative media, and a track record as a doctoral supervisor. The School is particularly interested in hearing from applicants with one or more of the following areas of interest: prose writing; writing for digital and creative media; writing for publishing and/or performance; writing for genre; professional writing.
