Sinclair Spectrum is 25 years old A nice BBC news article today celebrating the silver anniversary of my first (and still favourite) home computer, the Sinclair Spectrum. Sir Clive naturally gets a mention, but great that they also talk to Rick Dickinson, responsible for the aesthetic design of the machine: “Everything was cost driven. The design was the face of the machine. “All the Sinclair products have a very minimalist, very Bauhaus approach – there’s no unnecessary detail, or superfluous featuring. They are very elegant.” More nostalgic speccy discussions at Slashdot.
