Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts at Lancaster University is seeking to enhance its already strong national and international profile of excellence by appointing a new Lecturer in Fine Art: Moving Image or Digital Art.

You should have research interests in Fine Art with specific expertise in moving image or digital art practices. You will be expected to play a leading role in developing new Masters courses or modules, and to contribute to undergraduate modules in Fine Art; to independently pursue 3* or higher level research; and to develop collaborative research networks both within, and beyond the University. We are interested in applications from candidates working in any aspect of fine art involving digital technologies including digital photography, video, film, interactive or network art.

You should be able to demonstrate a strong research profile in moving image or digital art that complements our existing strengths in arts practice and theory. You will be a member of the research centre InsightLancaster, and you will be expected to pursue a research agenda and produce outputs at a level appropriate for submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 and beyond. You will be expected to contribute to InsightLancaster’s reputation and development with relevant research grants.

This is a full time, indefinite post.
