The first if:book Fictional Stimulus live event was held last night at Moors Bar in London, and was a fascinating mix of readings, surfings and discussion. Thanks to the if:book team for putting on such an enjoyable evening, and to Moors Bar for hosting it – I look forward to the next one!
Fictional Stimulus is a reading experience for people who like books and are curious about the future of literature in the digital world. It’s an introductory taster for those new to reading online, and its form is inspired by the bookgroup where everyone reads the same material then gets together to discuss it at the end.

I finally tried out Audioboo for the first time at the event. It’s a nice system to quickly record audio and post it online – very easy to use, and the audio quality (this was via iPhone) is surprisingly good, even in a noisy bar like last night. I’ll embed them below.
I’ve also posted some photos from the event at http://www.flickr.com/photos/391/sets/72157622313742015/
