Dear friends of Punto y Raya Festival,

We’re delighted to inform you that on February 7th we have launched our third CALL FOR ENTRIES open to dot·line films.

Registration is free and the films must be submitted before July 4th 2011 through our brand new website http://www.puntoyrayafestival.com

If it’s your first participation in the festival, you must register as an Author to enter a film. If you’ve already been selected in a previous edition, we have created an Author profile for you that you just need to update. Soon you’ll receive another email with your access details to the Users Zone. :)

For those who still don’t know about Punto y Raya, this festival -that’s been called the “most abstract in the world”- explores the creative possibilities of dots and lines in various spheres of science, art and thought. No representation, only dots and lines as ends in themselves! After gaining the recognition of the experimental audiovisual community and the specialized critic with only 4 years of trajectory, Punto y Raya currently constitutes a creative platform based in 50 cities all over the world.

· The first edition took place at La Casa Encendida in Madrid (September 1-2, 2007).

· The second edition, at Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona (November 25-29, 2009).

In this third edition we return with more dotline screenings, workshops, conferences, installations and live Performances. All information will soon be available on our website, so stay tuned :).

This project is only possible thanks to the creativity, enthusiasm and collaboration of everybody participating in it. That’s why we’d appreciate it if you could help us spread the word and forward this message to whomever you consider appropriate.
