CALL FOR ART/DESIGN/INSTALLATION/SOUND/VIDEO/TEXT/ACTION…
ISSUE #10: ROBOTS

For this tenth issue, we invite the “Maison d’Ailleurs” from Yverdon-les-Bains (Switzerland) to join Make8elieve’s team to select the works and build this web edition. This issue will follow their own next exhibition called “Portrait-Robot” (21.06.2015 – 31.01.2016) which will explore the complex relationship between human and robot.

Your work may include or relate to any of these following topics related to ROBOTS: vintage & modern computers, bots, A.I., work & tools, big brother paranoia, drones & spaceships, futuristic mythology & science fiction, etc.
(Please NO cyborgs which could be a future issue on its own)

MAKE8ELIEVE accepts image submissions, texts (fiction & non-fiction), videos, sounds, performative documentations… Anything you would like to submit will be considered.

Deadline for your submissions: December 1st, 2015.

FOR Visual Art Submissions: images must be close to 8.5″x11” / A4 landscape / A5 portrait, 200 dpi minimum. Please save your images as a .tiff or .jpg, in RGB (not CMYK or Index colors). Non-digital artwork should be scanned or photographed clear, sharp, presented with a neutral background.

2. please send a 1000 signs text about the work you sent OR about your relation to robot(s): souvenir, essay, poetry, dream, auto-fiction…

FOR ALL Submissions (ART/WRITING/etc.)
must also include your information:
1. your name as you’d like to be credited (more if needed)
2. your email, your website, a portfolio URL… If you do not have a website it can be your GooglePlus, FaceBook page, blog/Tumblr, Flickr account, but there should be some way for people to contact you and see more of your work.
3. your country(ies)/state(s)
4. a 500 word or less artist statement (optional)
5. a 300 word or less bio (optional)
6. attach the files for submission (or email a link to a Dropbox, Wetransfer) and email it to with the theme mentionned in the title.

We are grateful for everyone’s interest of our publication which will be released in February 2016. Please understand that not everything submitted will be published. We will contact you with future submission opportunities.
