Assistant Professor of Visual Art (Painting/New Media), Brown University – deadline 11 January 2008 Announcement of Position in Painting/New Media Assistant Professor of Visual Art (Tenure Track) Position: Brown University Department of Visual Art is searching for an artist to teach at the Undergraduate level. The candidate should be an artist who uses digital media as a central component of a painting practice. Requirements: Applicants will have earned an MFA, have 3 years full time equivalent teaching experience at the college level beyond graduate school, and must be able to teach Painting, Drawing, Foundations, and relevant digital imaging applications. Qualified candidates must have extensive knowledge about contemporary painting and digital theory and artistic practice. A strong exhibition record is essential. An interest in interdisciplinary research and course development is strongly desirable.
