I’ve worked since 1995 as a digital designer, programmer and videographer, with corporate, charity and individual clients. I’m currently heading the digital consultancy Bilden, and working as a freelance sound designer and composer for digital fiction and games.
As a writer and artist I create digital fiction (or ‘elit’), electronic poetry and digital art, for example the award-winning series Inanimate Alice; the collection of interactive poetry for children Animalamina; and The Breathing Wall, a novel that responds to the reader’s breathing rate.
I’ve mentored, lectured and given workshops about digital art and fiction for students from GCSE to postgraduate level, and am a founder and editor of the post-dada magazine and artist network 391.org.
