About Nesta

Nesta is an independent charity with a mission to help people and organisations bring great ideas to life.

Due to the success of the previous Call for Art we are now putting out another call. What we are looking for is art to inspire our staff and our visitors. We want to transform our busy networking and events space into an area that inspires our staff and our visitors, whilst giving budding artists from across the country the opportunity to showcase their creativity to a large and diverse audience. Have a look at the previous artwork.

So, if you are looking for a space to showcase your work – which could include photography, video, sculpture, ceramics, fashion or fine art then we’d love to hear from you. Anyone is welcome to apply – from budding art students to passionate amateurs to creative retirees.

Above all, we’re looking for someone:

• who needs a break and some exposure to their work
• whose work reflects our mission to
• whose work inspires our staff and our visitors

The Space

Our office is a blank canvas so please come and view our space. We are holding open days on If you would like to come and view the space available, we will be holding an open day on the afternoon of Friday 26 July 2013. Time slots are as as follows:

What’s in it for you?

We have over 10,000 people passing through this space every year and we want to give you the opportunity to showcase your work to this audience.

We will display details about you and your contact details so that people can get in touch with you to discuss commissions and purchases. We will pay for the transport of your artwork (up to £100) and the costs of installing them (cost covered dependent on skill required for installation).

Nesta will host a Private Exhibition for you and your contacts

Selection process

Once you have applied your application will be reviewed the judging panel.

Applications will be shortlisted by 19 August 2013 and contacted for further information/images if required.

The judging panel will then convene on 26 August 2013 to discuss the shortlist and select the winning applications.

Successful applicants will be notified by 30 August 2013. The artwork will be installed by 9 September 2013.
